Man buys ₹15.4 lakh registration number for ₹71,000 2-wheeler in Chandigarh

A man in Chandigarh has bought a registration number worth ₹15.44 lakh at an auction for his two-wheeler worth ₹71,000, Hindustan Times reported. The man said he intends to use the number ending 0001 for his newly-bought Activa and later for his car. Over 370 registration numbers had gone under the hammer in the recently-conducted auction by Chandigarh licensing authority.
