Man chews dead snake in viral video 'to protect himself from COVID-19'; arrested

The forest department has arrested a 50-year-old agriculture worker from Tamil Nadu's Madurai after a video showing him chewing a dead snake went viral on social media. The department also imposed a fine of ₹7,000 on the man, identified as Vadivelu. The man said he consumed the snake to protect himself from COVID-19.
