Man claims ChatGPT encouraged wife to plot his murder

A US man sued OpenAI, alleging ChatGPT helped his estranged wife plan an attempt to poison and kill him. He claimed wife consulted ChatGPT while they were having marital troubles and the chatbot encouraged her and provided advice on substances and dosage. His wife was charged in 2025 with attempted murder but case was dropped in April over insufficient evidence.
