Man dies by suicide amid alleged torture, ₹20-lakh alimony demand by wife in K'taka

A 40-year-old man died by suicide at his home in Karnataka's Hubballi, allegedly due to harassment by his wife, police officials said. The deceased, Peter Gollapalli, accused his wife Pinky of "torture" in a note. Peter's family said he married Pinky two years ago and they were living separately, adding that she filed for divorce and demanded ₹20-lakh alimony.
