Man dies of suffocation amid rush at Bahuda Rath Yatra in Puri

A 57-year-old man from Cuttack died of suspected suffocation amid a crowd surge during the Bahuda Rath Yatra in Puri on Friday. The man collapsed in the crowd while pulling the chariot and was immediately rushed to a hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. Several other devotees fell ill during the Rath Yatra and were hospitalised, officials said.
