Man drowns after falling into open manhole amid heavy rain in Mumbai

A 60-year-old man died after falling into an open manhole during maintenance work amid heavy rain in Mumbai's Sakinaka area, officials said. The incident reportedly occurred when the man, who was allegedly talking on his mobile phone while walking, accidentally stepped into the open manhole. Contract workers immediately searched for him, but only his umbrella and slippers were recovered.
