A 42-year-old Russian man found a sprouted seed growing inside his eye after suffering months of severe headaches. He said a tree branch had struck his eye during a fishing trip, leaving a small seed behind. Doctors later discovered the seed had sprouted and its 3mm-long root had penetrated the conjunctiva, the membrane covering the white of the eye.
