Man found newly discovered cat species on road, thought it was a domestic cat

Leopardus tilcayo, a new cat species discovered for the first time in over 100 years, was found in Bolivia's Yungas region. A local man found the animal near a forest road and initially believed it was a domestic cat. After keeping it for about a year, he realised it was a wild animal and took it to a wildlife sanctuary.
