Man gets 5 years in jail for sexually harassing minor online

A special POCSO court in Thane sentenced Mangesh Ishwardas Tambe to five years’ rigorous imprisonment for sexually harassing a minor using a fake Facebook profile. Tambe allegedly posed as “Vidya” on WhatsApp, sent obscene messages and images, and later created a profile in the girl’s name to target her friends and relatives. The court also imposed ₹60,000 in fines.
