Man held with 110 kg banned tobacco on train in Kerala

Police arrested Safaruddin Ansari for allegedly smuggling 110 kg of banned tobacco products on the Mangaluru-Chennai Superfast Express. Kerala Police and RPF officials, acting on a tip-off, stopped him at Vatakara. Ansari had allegedly thrown bags containing the tobacco onto the tracks before the train arrived, but officers recovered them during a search. Further investigation is underway.
