An 82-year-old man in China travelled 12 hours daily for 105 days to visit his wife in the ICU after she developed severe pneumonia and later died at 76. He could meet her for only 30 minutes due to visiting restrictions and spent all his savings on her treatment. The hospital later eased visiting rules, while some people donated money.
