Man leaves 20-day-old daughter in bushes as he 'wanted son' in MP

A 30-year-old man was detained on Thursday after he allegedly abandoned his 20-day-old daughter in a patch of bushes near an under-construction jail in Madhya Pradesh's Indore, official said. The accused, who already has a two-year-old daughter, told the police that he had wished to have a son. The newborn was handed over to the family, the official added.
