Man loses ₹99,940 in UPI fraud, bank ordered to pay over ₹1.5 lakh

A Chandigarh man is set to receive over ₹1.5 lakh after a consumer commission ordered a bank to refund money lost in UPI fraud. In 2021, a delivery agent asked him for bank details to process a parcel refund, after which ₹99,940 was withdrawn from his account. The commission upheld the refund with 9% annual interest and compensation.
