Man named by US in Pannun murder plot was arrested in India for extortion

The man, CC-1, whom the US linked to the alleged murder plot of Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, was arrested by Delhi Police Special Cell in December last year in an extortion case, Indian Express reports. He was released on bail in April this year. A Rohini-resident accused the man of kidnapping, extortion and linked him to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
