Man opens fire at Secret Service officers near White House

An armed man opened fire at United States Secret Service (USSS) agents near the White House in Washington on Monday. The man was shot by the agents, prompting a brief lockdown of the White House. The shooting occurred shortly after a motorcade carrying Vice President JD Vance had passed by the area, USSS Deputy Director Matthew Quinn said.
