Man plans to sue British govt for not repaying ₹35,000 loaned by grandfather in 1917

Vivek Ruthia, a resident of Madhya Pradesh's Sehore, is preparing to sue the British government, claiming it hasn't repaid ₹35,000 loaned by his grandfather for WWI in 1917. Referring to international law, he argued that a sovereign nation cannot disregard its historical financial obligations, adding, "₹35,000 would've been worth crores today." His grandfather Seth Jumma Lal Ruthia died in 1937.
