Attempting to get his name in the Guinness Book of World Record for the longest flute marathon, music artist Murali Narayanan from Thrissur in Kerela played the flute without a break for over 27 hours. The current record holder, Katherine Brookes of United Kingdom played the flute continuously for 25 hours and 48 minutes in February 2012.
