Man pleads guilty of throwing gravel at Canadian PM Trudeau

A man accused of throwing gravel at Canadian PM Justin Trudeau during an election campaign stop in 2021 has pleaded guilty to a charge of common assault, prosecutors said. Trudeau was hit by a handful of gravel as he was walking past a crowd shouting their opposition to COVID-19-related mandates and restrictions. Shane Marshall will be sentenced on May 1.
