Man posing as police officer dupes victims of lakhs in Maharashtra

A 25-year-old man has been arrested in Maharashtra's Latur for posing as police officer and cheating people by promising to recover stolen belongings. The accused tracked theft cases, contacted victims and used fake documents to gain trust. Police recovered ₹4.3 lakh from him. He admitted to similar frauds in other districts. Authorities have warned the public to verify identities.
