Man’s six-year runny nose turns out to be brain fluid leak
A 20-year-old Syrian man’s six-year runny nose, originally mistaken for a cold, was revealed to be cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaking from his brain through a skull fracture caused by a car accident. Diagnosed with traumatic encephalocele, the condition was discovered after imaging revealed his brain tissue protruding into his nasal cavity. He underwent surgery after initially refusing treatment.
