Man tries to stab US Congressman Zeldin during stump speech; held

US Congressman Lee Zeldin was attacked by a knife-wielding man on Thursday. Zeldin, the Republican candidate for New York Governor, was delivering a stump speech when a man climbed on stage "and attempted to stab" him. Zeldin said he grabbed the attacker's wrist and stopped him for a few moments before others tackled the man. The accused has been detained.
