Man who died had left Goa club after fire, went back to get phone

Ishaq, a 25-year-old resident of Bengaluru, who died after fire erupted at Goa's 'Birch by Romeo Lane' nightclub, had initially left club after fire erupted but went back to retrieve phone, as per family acquaintances. The police said that Ishaq died due to the stampede while exiting the venue or from cardiac arrest and his body showed only minor burns.
