Man who disarmed Sydney gunman wrongly identified as fruit seller

Ahmed Al Ahmed, the man who overpowered a terrorist during the mass shooting at Bondi Beach in Sydney, is not a fruit seller, in contrast to claims circulated by some media outlets. In reality, he has owned and operated a tobacco and speciality convenience store since 2021. Ahmed sustained gunshot wounds during the attack and is currently recovering in hospital.
