Man who opened fire near White House was arrested in 2025, he claimed to be 'real' Osama

The gunman who opened fire near White House on Saturday and was later killed by US Secret Service agents was identified as 21-year-old Nasire Best. He was arrested in July 2025 for allegedly trying to illegally enter a White House checkpoint. He claimed to be “the real” Osama bin Laden in past social media posts found by authorities, CNN reported.
