Man who threw gravel at Trudeau sentenced to house arrest

A man who threw gravel at Canadian PM Justin Trudeau during the 2021 election campaign was sentenced to 90 days of house arrest and 12 months of probation. Trudeau was hit by a handful of gravel as he was walking past a crowd shouting their opposition to COVID-19-related mandates and restrictions. The man, Shane Marshall, pleaded guilty to common assault.
