Man who was presumed dead, returns home after nearly 29 years for Bengal SIR documents
A 79-year-old man, who was presumed dead by his family, returned to his home in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar after nearly 29 years to collect documents for Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in West Bengal. Sharif Ahmad had been 'missing' since 1997 after he moved to West Bengal for his second marriage, following the death of his first wife.
