Manchester United on Monday sacked Louis van Gaal as their manager, two seasons after the Dutchman took charge of the team. Under van Gaal, United had a 51.3% win percentage in the league, as against 60.4% achieved by former manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who managed the Red Devils from 1986-2013. The Dutchman won the FA Cup in the 2015-16 season.
