Mandi Gobindgarh, Ludhiana remain Punjab’s most polluted places

Mandi Gobindgarh and Ludhiana continue to remain among the most polluted places in Punjab, with Mandi Gobindgarh ranking first (44), based on the annual average particulate matter levels recorded in 2025. Environmentalists attribute the pollution levels to the lack of enforcement of laws, alleged connivance between officials and violators and traffic congestion.
