A pointsman at Surathkal railway station in Mangaluru saved a passenger who nearly fell between a moving train and the platform while attempting to board. Sandeep Nayak quickly pulled him to safety, preventing a possible tragedy. Recognising his bravery and presence of mind, Konkan Railway announced a ₹10,000 cash reward for Nayak.
