Mangaluru school asks students to remove 'rakhis'; apologises after protests
A Christian missionary school in Karnataka's Mangaluru allegedly asked its students to remove 'rakhis' claiming that 'jewellery' was not allowed in the school. It later issued an apology following protests by the parents of at least 20 students. "We uphold the values of all religions. The incident was a mistake by some of our staff members," the school's in-charge said.
