TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee defended the West Bengal government over the chaos at Lionel Messi’s event in Kolkata, saying Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee apologised within an hour and ordered a probe into the incident. He also criticised the BJP over stampedes at the Mahakumbh Mela and New Delhi railway station, saying, "So many people were killed."
