Maoist leader kills his commander with ₹22 lakh reward in Odisha

A wanted Maoist leader, Sukru, along with his associates, killed commander Anwesh on January 29 when he was preparing to surrender before Odisha Police, Kandhamal SP Harisha BC said. Anwesh was carrying a reward of ₹22 lakh on his head. Police have exhumed Anwesh’s decomposed body and sent it for post-mortem examination and forensic analysis.
