Marilyn Monroe's iconic dress sells for record ₹32 crore

The dress Marilyn Monroe wore while singing "Happy birthday Mr President" to John F Kennedy has sold for a world-record price at an auction, fetching $4.8 million (over ₹32 crore). The dress was bought by Ripley’s Believe It Or Not. It surpassed the previous most expensive dress sold at an auction, Monroe’s white dress, which fetched $4.6 million in 2011.
