Maritime job seekers duped of ₹41 lakh in Navi Mumbai, 2 held

Navi Mumbai Police busted an employment racket and arrested two people for allegedly duping 17 job seekers of ₹41.75 lakh by promising them jobs on foreign merchant ships, officials said. The fraudsters allegedly operated a bogus company, falsely claiming a valid RPSL registration with the Director General of Shipping, and lured aspirants by promising attractive, high-paying maritime careers.
