Markers used since 2011: EC on not using ink for Maha civic polls

Maharashtra's State Election Commission issued a clarification after Raj Thackeray alleged voters' fingers are being coloured with marker pens instead of indelible ink for civic polls. SEC said that the order for using markers was issued in 2011. Additionally, a person can't re-vote by erasing ink, as the record has already been taken, the SEC said, warning of legal action.
