Marriott pauses new hotel openings, investment in Russia

Hotel chain Marriott on Thursday said it has paused opening of new hotels and all future hotel development and investment in Russia owing to the Russia-Ukraine war. Marriott will also close its corporate office in Russia. "Our hotels in Russia are owned by third parties and we continue to evaluate the ability for [them] to remain open," the company said.
