Martian meteorite to be sent back to Mars after nearly 7,00,000 years
A piece of Martian meteorite will be sent back to Mars with the launch of NASA's Perseverance rover on Thursday. London's Natural History Museum, where the piece was housed, said the meteorite "Sayh al Uhaymir 008" got blasted off Mars by an asteroid or comet roughly 6,00,000-7,00,000 years ago. It may have landed on Earth 1,000 years ago, NHM added.
