Maruti Suzuki advises vendors to sell non-core businesses: Report

Maruti Suzuki has reportedly advised its highly-leveraged component vendors and suppliers to sell some of its non-core businesses and increase promoter stakes to improve cash flow and ramp up production. Maruti has also asked suppliers to build sizeable inventories to prevent shortages, as per reports. In June, Suzuki Chairman Osamu Suzuki had written to Indian parts suppliers on the same.
