A 7.4-magnitude earthquake hit Colombia on Monday, according to US Geological Survey, with tremors felt in several cities across the country. The epicentre was located in San José del Palmar, in the department of Chocó, about 280 km west of Bogotá, at a depth of 107 km. Buildings were evacuated in Bogotá, while shaking was also reported in Quito, Ecuador.
