Massive data theft in China as hacker steals 10 quadrillion bytes of sensitive info

A massive data theft was reported in China after a hacker stole data containing over 10 petabytes (10 quadrillion bytes) of sensitive information from a state-run supercomputer, CNN reported. The supercomputer was part of Tianjin's National Supercomputing Center, which has clients like advanced science and defence agencies. The data theft spanned several months and was done with comparative ease.
