Massive wildfire erupts in Los Angeles, 10,000 homes evacuated

A massive fire broke out near Simi Valley in Los Angeles on Monday, after which over 10,000 homes were evacuated. The Sandy fire had covered an area of 1,385 acres as of Tuesday morning, with 3,500 homes currently under evacuation warnings. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said that officials do not anticipate that the fire will reach the city.
