Mathematicians call for OpenAI boycott over AI maths work

The Association for Human Mathematics has urged mathematicians to boycott OpenAI after the company published findings on 377 maths problems and released a repository containing over 700 files. The group said mathematicians had not asked OpenAI to conduct the work and criticised its approach to AI-generated research. The call follows OpenAI's claim that it solved the Navier-Stokes problem.
