Mathrubhumi anchor fired for allegedly sending inappropriate texts to woman colleague

Senior television journalist and Mathrubhumi news anchor Venu Balakrishnan has been dismissed from the news channel following a sexual harassment allegation by a woman colleague. Venu allegedly sent inappropriate messages to the colleague multiple times. The channel's MD and Rajya Sabha MP Shreyams Kumar said, "He has been discharged from duties. The company has zero tolerance towards this."
