Mauritius suspends diplomatic ties with Maldives over Chagos issue

The Republic of Mauritius has suspended all diplomatic relations with the Republic of Maldives amid the ongoing dispute surrounding the Chagos archipelago. This comes after the Maldives refused to recognise Mauritius' sovereign claim over Chagos and objected to an agreement between Mauritius and the UK.
