Mayabazar: The first use of special effects in Indian cinema

In 1957, film Mayabazar laid the foundation for special effects. It is filled with moments like Sasi Rekha aging in a single shot, moving people appearing inside a frame using double exposure, using stop motion for various objects, Gatothkacha transforming into a giant, and Nageshwar Rao appearing in the mirror without the reflection of the camera.
