Maybe he won't run: Trump on JD Vance's 2028 presidential plans

US President Donald Trump expressed doubt on Vice President JD Vance's plans to run in the 2028 presidential election, saying, "Maybe he won't run, I don't know." His remarks came after Democrats secured victories in both chambers of Congress in the 2026 midterm elections. "Maybe a lot of people [will be] running...I don't know who's going to run," Trump added.
