Mayor of Italian city bans bicycles after being hit by one, sparks backlash

Mayor of Italy's Como, Alessandro Rapinese, has restricted riding both electric and conventional bicycles on about 30 streets in the city's historic centre from September. This comes after Rapinese was hit by an e-bike in July. All cyclists will be required to dismount and walk their bikes in these 30 streets. This has sparked backlash among locals and delivery workers.
