M-cap of BSE-listed companies hits all-time high of over ₹242 lakh cr

The market capitalisation of BSE-listed companies touched an all-time high of over ₹242 lakh crore during intraday trade on Wednesday as Sensex breached the 56,000-mark for the first time. Sensex was trading 198.9 points higher at 55,991.26 at 12:02 pm. On Tuesday, Sensex closed at record high of 55,792.27. Investor wealth jumped by over ₹5 lakh crore in five days.
