McDonald's CEO apologises over texts that blamed parents for 2 US children's shootings
McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski has apologised after a text exchange between him and Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, on the fatal shootings of two children earlier this year, surfaced. Kempczinski had said that "parents failed" both the kids. Activists criticised it as "racist and unacceptable" and said that such comments came from someone whose company claims to support Black lives.
