MCX to launch Silver 100-gram futures contracts from June 1

MCX on Thursday announced the launch of 100-gram Silver 100 futures contracts from June 1, 2026. The future contracts will be available for trading across expiry months from July to November 2026. The government has raised import duty on gold and silver to 15% from 6% to curb imports and contain the widening import bill amid the West Asia crisis.
